Jonelle Cooper ~ Receptionist
I became a team member at Byron Center Animal Hospital in November 2015. I have been working in the veterinary field for over 15 years! I enjoy working with our pet owners and strive to treat every pet as if they were my very own!
I have four cats - Augustus, Corbin, Norton, and Purriscilla – and they graciously allow me and my other furry family members - Camille, a Maltese mix, and Andy, a miniature poodle mix– to share a home with them. We’re quite a mix!
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends while camping or sightseeing in Northern Michigan, attending Grand Rapids Griffin’s hockey games, running a variety of 5K races, or socializing my pups at the Grand Ravines or Wyoming Dog Park. I also volunteer with BeNice.org and Habitat for Humanity. You may also find me at various other dog or cat benefit events throughout the year, so be sure and say hi if you see me!

Caylin Hunter ~ Veterinary Assistant
I have a passion and respect for animals and the people that call them family that was instilled in me at an early age. Fast forward to today and I have graduated from GVSU with my degree and been working in the veterinary field for 7 years! Along the way I met and married my wonderful husband and together we share our home and hearts with Kenzie, a rambunctious 7 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix and our 4 feline children, Sonoma, Maverick, Nigel and Miss Jolie. It's a full house but we wouldn't have it any other way! I'm so excited to join the team here at Byron Center Animal Hospital and look forward to being a part of the BCAH family! When not working I enjoy getting out and about shopping, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Natalie Weaver ~ Licensed Veterinary Technician
I have been working at the Byron Center Animal Hospital since 2007 after I graduated from Baker College and became an LVT. I love the opportunity to work with great pets and their wonderful people. After having a pet myself that was very anxious at the vet, I strive to figure out what would be best for each individual pet and owner, to help make the vet a more rewarding place. Daily, I see first-hand the effect that pets have on our lives and how important the human-animal bond is to both sides of the relationship and my hope is to prolong these ties. Also, it is nice to work in a field that is continually growing and advancing. I am blessed with my rescue dog Kinley, who is a boxer mix and full of energy! My favorite thing about her is that she is always happy to be with people and participate in whatever I am doing, whether that is going for a run or taking a nap!
Jen Allan ~ Licensed Veterinary Technician
I grew up watching my aunt work at the zoo and then go on to become a veterinarian. Her passion became my passion and I knew that I, too, wanted to work with animals! I started out volunteering at the local animal emergency hospital in high school and then worked my way up to head veterinary technician at a day practice. I have been working in the veterinary field for over 20 years now. Oh my, how time flies when you're doing something you love! I joined Byron Center Animal Hospital in October 2016 and am excited about the prospect of learning new things and getting to know lots of new clients and their furry family members! When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family (including my adorable nieces!) and friends up north at our family cottage, fishing, going on pontoon rides, and must relaxing around the campfire. I have been blessed with many cats over the years who have since passed on. I currently have a wonderful Pekingese named Sam, who is 14 years old, and he is the love of my life! My family, both two legged and four, is everything to me and I wouldn't change a thing!
